[CARSIM] Proper backfire

Hello, I've been dealing with cars for a while, but I was never fancy about engine backfire (after-fire to be exact). So this seems to change recently.
I was digging here-and-there but haven't really found any “scientific enough” material to model this effect.
I wan't to skip the “play random pop sound and fire effect after downshift” kind of solution.
So I'm more into exhaust temperature, throttle position, engine brake torque, and RPM…etc

Is anyone here who made a convincing simulation to this “problem”, and willing to discuss?
thanks in advance.
