@futureplay Unity is probably easier to learn and c# is definitely easier than c++ in my opinion. That being said, it's always good to start with a few simple projects to get grips with the engine before you take on something greater.

Which game engine should I use to develop a game with SimCity-mobile-like graphics?
Definitely give Godot a look. It's not as powerful as Unity or Unreal, but it is very beginner friendly. For 2D games, or even basic 3D, I find it to be much more productive and easier to understand.
